Fasting is a subject of interest. This is because, many Christians believe in it. They believe that through fasting accompanied by prayers, God will hear their plights and come to their rescue.
However, the topic of whether or not to drink water during "fasting" has been debated for a long time. It still remains controversial. Many people think it's normal to include water while "fasting", whereas others think otherwise.
As mentioned at the outset, Pastor Chris has given an answer to clarify that after he was quizzed during a worship session. The man of God responded in a very questionable way, since he could not cite a scripture or two to back his claims.
According to him, there are different kinds of fast. Some people may choose not to eat or drink anything. Others may prefer not to talk to anyone. Still others can abstain from watching TV programmes and among others.
He adds: It all boils down to what your are praying for. How you "choose" to do it depends on you and on the gravity of your petitions. His answer forces the question: Is he condoning the act of "drinking water during fasting"?
Many Christians around the world have reacted to it. Some agree with him while others disagree.
