In march 2018, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo - Addo the president of the Republic of Ghana unveiled the proposed national cathedral.
The Secretary to the Board of Trustees in charge of the National Cathedral, Victor Kusi Boateng has estimated the cost of the ongoing project to be about $200 million. The reason to build the Cathedral is that the "Church has contributed so much and it has come to a point that the Church also needs the citizenry to support us build this National Cathedral"
The painful aspect is that, the government is also urging the citizens to contribute 100 Ghana cedis a month from their peanuts that they get from hard and tedious work.
How can we contribute this amount from our small salaries and wages with this low income earnings.
Each and everyday prices of goods and services are being increased at an increasing rate with fixed salaries making living very difficult in this country.
The government keeps increasing their salaries with free access to social amenities.
They don't buy fuel, water, electricity and other unreasonable expenses they made. Still they want 100 cedis from the poor to construct National Cathedral.
And come to think of it, if the National Cathedral is being built to pleased God then Ghana is a JOKE country. The Government does not know what is doing.
The bible says in 1JOHN 4:20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. How can you sit down for human beings you see to suffer and think of building a Cathedral for the Lord we cant see.
EDUCATION needs to be fixed, students don't have classrooms, they sit under trees with no boards, lack of laboratories for students to do practicals.
Some shools lack dispensaries, tables and chairs and to the point that, some even write on the floor. This is total shame to AMA GHANA.
NO JOBS. Unemployment rate is very high in this country due to poor economy system. Is either you don't get job or you get bad job.
The average Ghanaian man salary or wage can't even buy TV, BED, FRIDGE for his room.
Imagine, receiving 600 Ghana cedis a month, how are you going to disbursed this amount on food, rent, water bill, electricity bill, hospital bill, fare, dependants and savings. And you come back to tell us to donate 100 cedis a month for a structure which is not necessary.
PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING FOR THEIR DAILY BREAD, BRING POLICIES THAT WILL GIVE AN EQUITY TO THE NATION.
We the citizens can start with the mps, we can forget all the NDCs and the NPPs candidates and go for INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES and we caution them for the task ahead. Failure to do so in one year then we cautioned them again.
LET'S S FIX GHANA.
