On Thursday, 10th June, 2021 in the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time Bishop Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD continued his canonical visit to St. Cecilia Parish, Ho-Dome by visiting one of the outstations of the parish which is the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church sited at Wayanu.
On arrival in the community His Lordship paid a courtesy visit to the Chiefs and Elders of the Wayanu Community where He thanked the Chiefs for accepting the Mission into their community. The people welcomed His Lordship dearly and gifted him with some items.
Once again Fr. Felix and Fr. Anthony joined His Lordship in the Celebration of the Holy Mass. During the Holy Mass He prayed that the Lord bless and keep those holding on to the faith in the community.
Right after Holy Mass His Lordship held a Town hall meeting with the members of Our Lady of Assumption Church in the Wayanu Community. The people expressed their sincere gratitude to His Lordship for his presence in their midst. The congregation appealed to the Bishop to help them secure additional plots of land attached to what the community had given them.
Later at 6:00pm in the evening His Lordship held another Town hall meeting with the members of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ho-Agortorme where some complained about the size of the chapel not being able to host the increasing number of worshippers, most of the members agitated about being promoted to a parish level. His Lordship went on further to address some of the pressing issues concerning the youths which were presented to him.
