Lets Get To Meet The General Superintendent of Asssemblies of God Ghana Rev Prof Paul Frimpong Manso

Born on March 15, 1959, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso is a product of Osei Tutu Senior High School in Ashanti Region where he obtained his GCE Ordinary Level Certificate in 1980.

He then went to the Southern Ghana Bible College of Assemblies of God and obtained a diploma in Biblical Studies from 1981 to 1983. He also holds other diplomas in Theology from Mattersey Hall Christian College and Cambridge University all in the UK from 1989 to 1992. He obtained his Master's degree from University of Sheffield and a PhD in Theology from University of Wales all in the UK. He has attended several training and leadership courses including a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Training in Hawaii, USA.

A visionary leader and effective communicator, Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso has been a pastor with the Assemblies of God church since the early 80s. Having risen through the ranks from a local church pastor to district pastor, he became the Ashanti Regional Superintendent of the church in 2001. He served as head pastor of Gospel Center Assemblies of God, Old Tafo and Calvary Temple Assemblies of God, Bantama for 23 years all in Kumasi. He also served as Board Chair of Assemblies of God Relief and Development Service, the Church's Foreign Mission, Mid Bible College as well as Executive Presbytery of the church's campus ministry.

In August 2010, he was elected into the high office of the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God church. An induction ceremony was held for him on November, 7 that same year.

As General Superintendent of the church, he has been used by God to reposition the church to become one of the key Christian denominations in Ghana. He has been instrumental in the construction of the ultra modern head office complex of the Assemblies of God Church, located at Ringway Estate, Accra. He has also been a key force in the Vision 3000 project of the church which seeks to plant 3000 local churches in Ghana. He is passionate about the church reaching to the lost souls in fulfillment of the great commission.

In terms of public life and corporate governance, he has over the years served on boards from banking institutions, insurance companies and church councils. Having served as one of the executives to the African Assemblies of God Alliance (AAGA), he also serves as Chairman of the Small Arms and Light Weapons Commission. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the National Cathedral Project, Ghana.

He is the president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) with his predecessor being Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, immediate past chairman of the Church of Pentecost. He took over after the latter's retirement from full time ministry in 2018.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso's induction as President/Chairman of the GPCC was held on Sunday September 30, 2018 at the Revival Restoration Center, Assemblies of God Church, Roman Ridge, Accra.

A family man with children, he has been married to Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong Manso since April 8, 1984.
