The Assemblies of God church Ghana has done it again with it's vibrant Annual Youth camping expedition which is ongoing at Jabez Dominic Educational Complex, Abonyi, a town situated on the Winneba-Agona Swedru road.
This time, the Central Region 'B' chapter of the Assemblies of God divisions within the region comprising of Assin North and South, Breman East and West, Twifo Atimokwaa, Twifo He-man Denkyira organized the programme.
The Youth camp which was supposed to take place at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST-Kumasi was called off and relocated to Jabez Dominic Educational Complex, Abonyi owing to the impasse between UTAG and their employees (strike action) and thus affected the programme at the short run
The theme for the meeting was no different from the usual 2021 Assemblies of God theme which goes "revive us again Lord" which is found in the book of Psalm 85 verse number 6.
The programme was organised purposely to revive the faith of the youth who are seen as the future leaders of the nation. The youth ought to live a life which is worthy of emulation and looks right in the sight of the Lord other than living a morally degenerated as well as unwholesome practices that affects their Christian Life
Most of the youth today are prone to, and strongly glued to immoral lifestyle which ranges from occultism, cyber fraud, higher propensity for quick money, sexual immoral practices, gambling to mention but few.
Without the hand of God, our benevolent creator, the sacrosanct God, the youth will continue to languish in their negative acts which affects their lives psychologically, physically, spiritually etc.
Assemblies of God is known for the preaching of the gospel, and under the strict adherence to the COVID 19 protocols, this programme was also organised to change the youth from bad to good and to strengthen them in all their personal endeavors.
Among the leaders who acted as the organisers and host of the this great camp meeting encompasses of Reverend Dr Anthony Ababio Danquah the Regional Superintendent, Reverend Efiinu Kwaku Obiako the main speaker and Regional Secretary, Reverend Patrick Yamoh the Regional Youth Director and Reverend Oppong Boadi the Acting National Youth Executive
The programme kick-started on Monday, 23rd August and is expected to end on Friday, 27th August 2021 and the kind of joy, experience which shall come out of this exciting encounter looks mesmerized.
In this audacious youth camp meeting, the youth shall receive an empowerment programme in marriage talk, business talk and other valuable agendas that seems to change the youth in a more holistic manner
Per one of the slogans of the Assemblies of God Youth, "the youth alive, the work is done", the needful is what the camp meeting is imbibing and imbuing in the youth in as much as we wish to receive the strength of the Lord through this revival encounter.
