A 22 years old man by the name of Ernest Konadu has hanged himself to death in Asante Akyem Obogu in the Ashanti Region. Ernest was a local preacher well known in the area and he aspired to be a full-time pastor soon, hence he was popularly referred to as "Osofo" in the town.
Again, he was a phone repairer with his shop in the town. He stayed in the same house with his parents. Yesterday after returning from his morning preaching, he told his parents and those at home that he was tired and was going to rest so he did not want anyone to come to disturb him.
He then went and locked himself inside his room. His family realized he had slept for too long so they went inside his room to check on him and saw that he had hanged himself to death. He hanged himself using a long robe of his. He was naked as well.
The family called on the police and the body has been taken to the mortuary in Yawkei for investigations to begin. The family expressed their shock as they could not think of anything that could cause the young man to take his life.
