The District Pastor of the Jesus Christ Gospel Power Ministry sited at Kumasi Breman in the Ashanti Region, Prophet Mark Ofori Gyimah(aka Osofo Kaakyire) has disclosed that the country stands the chance to develop and sustain peace, if the citizens change their mindsets and enforce discipline as their priority.
Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, Osofo Kaakyire expressed worry that Ghana was formerly known to be one of the disciplined countries in the world, currently it has side stepped its former reputation and ratings.
According to Prophet Kaakyire antisocial vices including corruption in high places have taken over the country due to lack of discipline.
Stressing that no country can properly or effectively build its economy when discipline eludes its citizens.
The man of God pointed out that indiscipline also goes with lawlessness, greed and violence, and that if such features rear its face in the society economic development becomes standstill.
On this note, Kaakyire allegedly attributed the crime wave, sakawa practices, murder, suicide, abortion, blame game, disobedience to elders and authority, industrial and political tensions, demonstrations among others to the acts of indiscipline which in his view needs to be discouraged.
The clergy said stories that were heard in the past years from the foreign countries as strange are now common in Ghana and asked do we have the nation at heart or we are deliberately harming ourselves.
Citing the Book of 1st Peter 5 verse 7, Kaakyire said there shall be hard times in the last days but because God is always on the side of the righteous we should remain disciplined to receive the blessings of God.
To reverse the issue of indiscipline to ensure building a solid and peaceful nation, Prophet Mark Gyimah appealed to the government to come out with measures that could discourage citizens from taking the laws into their own hands to the disadvantage of the country.
