The Founder of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim was panting as he rushed to validate a news report that his Abroso mansion opposite his temple has been gutted by fire. He cried that the news got him panicking as he feared for his loss.
Upon realizing the report was a lie, Bishop Obinim took a live video broadcast on Facebook to expose the publishers of that fake content. He indicated that his phone was inundated with calls from members of the church who alerted him about the radio broadcast this afternoon.
The renowned prophet in a teary tone asked why people could fabricate such lies and cause him to be frightened. He indicated that the incident is not the first time, adding that he is advised to take legal actions against the media house for broadcasting false information about his church.
Bishop Obinim stressed that he managed to record the radio broadcast and that it will be tendered as evidence in court when the station is summoned. He intimated that it is about time some media houses who take delight in fake news get punished.
"I have recorded you and will send it to my lawyers. God will punish you."
More it, Bishop Obinim cursed that those behind his downfall shall have no rest, as he would pray that God penalizes them for the wrong they have committed against him. He emphasized that his building is safe, and there is no reason for members of the church and other sympathizers to panic.
He, however, cried that the loss of his father had already taken a toll on him, adding that things could have been worse if he came to witness his building razed by fire. Bishop Obinim prayed that God grants him the strength to withstand those who seek his undoing especially when he goes through the grievance cycle over his dad's death.
The prophet recounted that such false publications are what caused his trusted colleague, Rev. Obofour to sue a journalist, adding that this will be an addition to the list.
