The Catholic Diocese of Ho have today laid to rest Rev. Fr. Evaristus Tsevi at the St Francis of Assisi Parish, Ho, Kpevele who passed away after a short illness in the Margaret Maquart Catholic Hospital, Kpando.
He was born on 25th October, 1969 in Togo. He later migrated to Ghana during a civil war in Togo in the 1980s and found asylum at Gbledi Gbogame. He attended the Likpe Senior High School and later got a transfer to the St. Mary's Seminary, Lolobi. He was ordained priest on 7th July, 2007 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ho-Kpevele.
Before his untimely death, he worked at the following Parishes: St Anthony Parish, Taviefe, St Anthony Parish Kpedze, SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Anfoega and finally, he was working as Priest in charge of St Aloysius Parish, Gbi Atabu. He died at the age of 52 after a short illness.
During the burial Mass service at the St Francis of Assisi Parish which was attended by colleague priests and religious, family, friends and sympathizers a homily preached by the Bishop of the Ho Diocese, Most. Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, advised christians to always be prepared and be on guard so that the coming of Jesus Christ will surprise them.
