People from outside the country joined thousands of Tijjaniyya Muslims to climax the recitation today Friday 19th February 2021.
The President of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana Khalifa Sheikh Ahmed Abulfaid Abdullahi Maikano after his Friday sermon announced the outcome of the recitation standing at one thousand six hundred and sixty-eight times(1,668) of the holy Quran and still counting as against one thousand and seventy-two (1,072) of last year.
He prayed for the entire world to be relieved from the COVID 19 pandemic.
Khalifa admonished his followers to strictly abide by the safety protocols of the COVID 19 as outlined by the Ghana health service and the World Health Organization (WHO).
A delegation from the Office of the Vice President was headed by Hon. Alhaji T B Damba, Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
On his part,the Chairman of the Ghana Hajj Board Sheikh I C Quaye showed appreciation for Khalifa’s support in ensuring peace and stability in the Country.
Two persons however accepted Islam through the hands of Khalifa.They were both given Ibrahim as their Islamic Name.
