In Mathew 6:8, Jesus preached 8 do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. So if our father Jehovah God knows what we need already, then why do we have to pray to him?
The Bible also admonishes believers not to worry or fret about what they will eat or wear. In Mathew 6-26:27 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one [a]cubit to his [b]stature?
The most important reason why we pray is not to ask God for things, in fact it’s unscriptural to turn a prayer into a marathon session of begging God for things. Everything man needs has already been provided but because man has dominion over this earth, the spiritual requires the will of man to manifest on this earth, Even God requires the will of man to manifest on this earth because God is a God of principles and he cannot go against his own word
This is why the bible teaches us to pray by first honoring God and asking for the will of God to be done on this earth as it’s in heaven. The will of God is part of God’s provisions that he has made available to man on this earth. So asking for the will of God to be done is simply saying that we have submitted our will to the superior will of God, that we have giving God the permission to let all his provisions manifest in our lives
Once you do this, you will then follow the principle that governs what you want for the thing you want to manifest in your life physically
Prayer is purposely to help man to attune his spirit to the spiritual level of his source
