National Cathedral: An Open Letter To The Chief Imam

Ghana has been blessed with many great personalities whose iconic footprints and contributions have emblazoned and taken Ghana's name to the global stage. From the works of Ghana's first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his cohorts who fought assiduously for independence to the great scientist of our time.

Information trickling in has it that the national Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has made a large amount of donation in aid of the Cathedral building. According to reliable sources, in his vision to see religion growth in the country, he donated GhS 50,000 to support the government's efforts to build a national cathedral for mass worship.

Undoubtedly, his move has sparked a lot of reactions on social media with many Ghanaians especially the youth lauding him and asking long life from God to him. This donation will go along way to encourage the government to step up in its efforts to complete the project before the end of its tenure.

The Cathedral, which according to Reverend Kusi Boateng, a Secretary to the Board of Trustees will have a biblical restaurant will be one of the unprecedented achievements of the modern Ghana. With regards to this, it is worth that each Ghanaian contribute towards its completion.

Ghanaians on social media have heaped praises on the Chief Imam for his honest support. This is believed to be a wake up call to every Ghanaian especially the youths to support in their respective ways. To this effect, it is right to thank the Chief Imam and call him a "great asset to Ghana."

My last call is to the government to walk its talks on the project as this will confer dignity on the government and etch their names in the historical annals of the country. God bless Chief Imam, God bless Ghana!
