Today marks the celebration of one of the most important festivals of Muslims; Eid-ul Adha. Eid-ul Adha is celebrated to remember the sacrifice made by Ibrahim to Allah and reminds us of the "value of obedience, sacrifice and Allah's divine mercy" for mankind. Everyone joins the Islamic community to wish them a merry Eid celebrations during the occasion.
Former President John Dramani Mahama took to his Facebook page to celebrate the occasion with his fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. The former president in his post sent his warmest wishes to his Muslim brothers and sisters for a blessed and happy Eid-ul-Adha. He added that may the prayers and sacrifices be accepted by Allah and also inspire them to give back to humanity.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also shared his Eid message to all Muslims on his Facebook page. The president in his post sent warm greetings to all Muslims in Ghana and around the world. He asked the Muslim Ummah in Ghana to remember the nation in prayer and also to pray for guidance and wisdom for him and members of his government to steer the nation through economic challenges that confront the nation and the world.
