Chief Imam sends Goodwill message to all Muslims

The national Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Shaributu on Friday 22nd May 2020, ahead of their Ramadan sent a goodwill message to all Muslims across the country who have successfully completed the fasting. The fasting which is for w a period of 30days started on Thursday, April 23rd in the evening and is to end today, Saturday May 23rd sundown.

On behalf of the Chief Imam, Sheikh Shaibu sent a message to all Muslims to know the times in which we are and celebrate the day with their families at home. He urged them to still observe the Covid-19 protocols. He further went on to advise the youth to be law abiding as their fasting (spiritual exercise) draws them closer to Allah (God) and also allows him to dwell in their hearts.

As it has always been the norm during Ramadan, the Chief Imam is to lead the Eid-ul-fitr. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic,, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will for the first time of its kind hold a virtual Eid-ul-fitr. This will take place at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation House on Sunday 9:00am.
