Arrest Pastors who predicted loss for Black Stars-IGP told

The leader and founder of Hope Generation ministries, Prophet Eric Amponsah (alias Computer man) has urged the Inspector General to arrest and lock up any church belonging to any pastor who predicted a win for the Super Eagles against the Black Stars.

Ghana played Nigeria in the second leg of the World Cup qualifying campaign last Tuesday. Ahead of the match, some pastors and spiritualists came out to predict that the game would end in favor of the Nigerians. That however did not come to pass as Ghana progressed to the next stage via an away goal advantage secured in the one-one drawn game.

Citing the leader of the Shining Grace Chapel International, Prophet Isaac Appiah (alias Ogya Nyame) as an example, Computer man was heard as saying "now the price of suits have gone up due to all these false prophets. How come? Football is a game. It doesn't need any prophecy. You only win if you put in effort.....Ogya Nyame should be very careful".

He further prayed the IGP to arrest all such persons who made false proclamations. "I am serving notice. I know the IGP is an action man and energetic. Every prophet who prophesied that Ghana will not win but they eventually won, please lock up their church", he told the host of Oman channel.

At the end of last year, the Ghana Police Service indicated that it would arrest anybody who made false prophecies that were likely to cause fear and panic.

Do you think these unfulfilled prophecies about the Black Stars warrant an arrest? Let us know in the comment section.
