A 6 year old boy, Justice Kekeli Biedo and his older brother Kingsley Biedo encountered the unfortunate incident the early hours of Sunday upon visiting their grandmother.
The victims were said to be assisting their aunty in cleaning the church building for Sunday service. The building is the Adetsewui branch of Divine Healing Church in Akatsi South Municipality Volta Region.
In the process of cleaning parts of the building which was uncommpleted and without pillars collapsed on them. Currently both patients are receiving medical care at St Anthony hospital in Dodze.
Their father, Mr Kennedy who doubles as the Assemblyman of the area made known to the media, Justice is in critical condition whereas Kingsley is responding to treatment and recovering from minor fractures.
Fortunately, at the time of the incident Church wasn't in session and no church member was affected apart from these two good Samaritans.
The National Disaster Management Organisation is currently at the scene to investigate and access the situation. After series of actions will be taken to ensure justice and hold the church accountable if found at fault.
