Mary Kathryn Baxter visited heaven and hell for forty days each and experienced many mysteries that she explained in her book. In one of her trips to heaven, she said she visited the throne of God and saw the four living creatures that were before the throne of God.
These creatures she saw around the throne were the ones written about in the Word of God. All of the heavenly creatures had large eyes, some in the front and some in the back. They could see in the front of them and behind them. They were very large and unlike anything she had ever seen on earth.
She continued in her own words ‘each of them had six wings: One had the face of a lion, the second had a face like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. All of these fascinating creatures were constantly crying out, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.’
Since she had never come across any creature that resembled them in appearance, she insisted that they looked very strange to her even though she knew however that it was God that created these holy creatures in heaven.
She continued ‘as I watched these creatures, they began to praise and worship God Almighty. I praise God for His mighty acts and His mighty power. God is an awesome God.’
I want you to understand that after I saw the heavenly creatures of God, I made a study about them and discovered John’s amazing description of what I had witnessed in the book of (Revelation 4:6-8 as written: Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.’
She emphasized how interesting it was how the first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
In her own words, she concluded that ‘the four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.’
