The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt Junior has claimed that the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Reverend Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante needs deliverance. He made this claim on Pan African Television's current affairs Talk Show dubbed Alhaji and Alhaji today, Saturday 4th September, 2021.
The veteran Journalist's comments were in response to Reverend Professor Mante's declaration that, people criticising President Nana Akuffo Addo's Agenda 111 hospital projects are witches and wizards.File photo - Rev. Prof. Mante
He said, " Professor, we are raising questions based on facts available to us and the current Government's willingness and capabilities. I wish I am a Reverend Minister today. If I had the power of deliverance, I would have delivered the Presbyterian Moderator, because he needs it. Someone should deliver the man of God. He has made wizardry attractive".
Kwasi Pratt questioned the capacity of the Nana Akuffo Addo-led government to fund the Agenda 111 hospitals. "We have been told that, the project would be funded by the Government of Ghana. I doubt that, because a recent study by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) revealed that one hundred and twenty-one percent (121%) of government's revenue go into debt servicing and public sector emoluments. It means that we do not use the money we borrow wisely. It also means that, the fuel in the President's vehicle was bought with borrowed money. The report made some damning revelations", he added.
Kwasi Pratt further stated that, President Akufo-Addo’s Health cut a sod for the construction of a Hospital a year ago at the same spot where he (President Nana Akuffo Addo) cut sod for the Agenda 111 hospitals. Yet, not a single block has been laid.
He then advised men of God, such as Reverend Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante to stay away from partisan politics. "You are pulling down the house of God. Do not take stands on matters of politics.
