A church in South Africa has given certificates of virginity to female church members. The move is in a bid to encourage chastity among the ladies in society.

It's an annual religious ritual, and the participants who pass muster get a mark on their forehead and a Certificate of Virginity as tokens of their achievement. The annual event is much anticipated by the ladies.

The church typically holds the virginity test somewhere in the middle of the year, awarding certificates of virginity to those who have tested and were found virgins. This virginity test is intended to encourage women to refrain from engaging in any form of sexual activity until they are married.
Women who passed the church's test for the 2022/2023 session received their certificates yesterday. The Nazareth Baptist Church's Pastor signed the certificates before issuing them to the worthy virgins and encouraged them to keep their bodies for their husbands.

What do you think? Do you think this is a welcome development and Ghanaian churches should implement a virginity test on our ladies?
