Father's Day, just like mother's day and the rest, is a a day set aside to honour fathers. The day was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, and celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
Across the globe, Fathers day is held on various dates. Over time, different regions have maintain their own traditions of honouring fathers.
This year's Fathers day fell on June 19; and in Ghana, the day was marked in style and beauty, as some high profile Ghanaians and celebrities were seen online, honoring their fathers, husbands, Sons, brothers and male friends.

From the First-Lady to President Nana Addo, Rebecca Akuffo Addo wrote: “A father doesn’t tell you that he loves you. He shows you”.
The Second-Lady, Samira Bawumia also honored her husband Dr Bawumia, saying; "Thank you for the endless sacrifices you make everyday. Happy Fathers' Day, sweetheart, from the kids and I".
Musician, Stonebwoy's wife, Louisa Satekla celebrated her father and her husband with some memorable pictures.
To her father, Louisa Satekla, wrote: "Happy Father’s Day to my amazing daddy. My love for this man knows no boundaries. God bless you daddy for going above and beyond to always make me happy. I love you". And to her husband Stonbwoy, she said, “You’re an awesome father and we’re proud of you”.
The Ghanaian TV Personality Selly Gally celebrated her husband, musician Praye Tiatia saying; “Dearest dearest husband, You became a father figure as well to me, who hadn’t known much of it with your love, care, protection and guidance. You’ve bonded your family so strongly together. We all adore you, the kids, your mum, my mum. I am so proud of you as a father and as a husband. You really don’t leave any stone unturn in achieving the best for your family. You’re always there no matter what.
She added that, "We all dearly love and adore you. I love you till casket soulmate, my heartbeat. My world. In His time He’ll make everything perfect. I celebrate you today and everyday. Happy Father’s Day".
Actress Beverly Afaglo also wrote: "I just read a post that took me down memory lane. This man right here made motherhood so easy for me. From pregnancy, exercises and daily walks to Late nights of breastfeeding, to putting them to sleep. I remember after breastfeeding, my babies will never sleep, That’s the time they want to play at 2am. Daddy will just take over and leave me to sleep, and the next time I hear my baby crying, is for the next feeding, cos I don’t even realize when they come back to bed".
