We have all been to Sunday school and heard of the story about Potiphar's wife and Joseph. The story of Joseph can be found in Genesis 39:1-20. To summarize the story in the Bible, Joseph was bought as a slave by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. Potiphar's wife tried to seduce Joseph but he evaded her advances. As Joseph was "fighting" her attempt to lure him into her bed, Potiphar's wife got hold off his garment. Using Joseph's garment as a source of evidence, Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph of having assaulted her, and he was sent to prison.
There is a trending video circulating on social media. This video has been termed as the African version of the story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife. What is making this video trend the more is the fact that the Joseph in the video could not resist the temptations of Potiphar's wife. In the video, you can see "Potiphar's wife" dressed seductively and seated on her bed. She can be heard calling "Joseph". Joseph resisted the temptation and run out. All of a sudden, "Potiphar" came in and both he and his wife were so proud Joseph didn't give in to the temptation. "Potiphar" can be heard telling his wife how he will keep Joseph in charge of more of his properties. All of a sudden, Joseph hastily opened the door out of fright, he dropped three condoms on the floor. This means that he purposely fled from the room to go and get some condoms and did not flee with the intention the Joseph in the Bible had. This Joseph failed the test.
This video has sparked a lot of reactions and many people find it very funny. I am sure you would find it funny as well. Do well to share your thoughts after watching the video.
