The PTA of Wesley Girls High School have set the record straight on Muslim students and fasting saga

Following the huge furore generated regarding a report that the Wesley Girls High School have denied Muslim students from fasting and praying in the school. Many Muslims are blaming the school and the Methodist church as intolerance to religious beliefs, and a church like the Methodist must show the way.

However, the church had earlier disclosed that school rule is a long standing one which has been in existence for over a decade. Many Muslims students has passed through it, and this is not the time they will change it.

The Parents Teachers Association (PTA), of Wesley Girls High School has jumped in defence of the church called on Ghana Education Service to consider the matter again of their earlier decision. Because if such thing happens all religious preferences and practices would be allowed in our school.

In the statement read by Akosua Ago Aboagye on Peace FM news disclosed that, they will not allow Muslim students to fast during Ramadan. And this rule doesn't apply to only Muslims but to every religious organizations which includes Christians and even Traditionalist.
