One of the calls upon man is to be the Temple of God. Temple is the abode or dwelling place of someone or a spirit. No man is empty; everyone is the dwelling of a spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. KJV
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. KJV
One of the things that man has to do is to make sure that God’s spirit dwell in him.
Romans 8:11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that rose up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. KJV
There are some people who are the abode of demons instead of the living God. Whoever does not be the temple of God will end up in the lake of fire because he has not fulfilled his call.
2 Corinthians 6:15-16
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. KJV
Ezekiel 36:27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. KJV
2 Tim 1:14. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. KJV
One of the ways to know whose temple you are (either temple of demons or God) is your character. The evidence of being the temple of God is godliness.
1 John 4:16. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him. KJV
John 14:17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. KJV
