God's word: Consider your way.

Haggai 1:5-7(KJV); Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

It is a puzzling reality for a man to sow much and bring in little and yet the Bible reveals that it is possible for one to give their tithes, offerings and seed and not walk in the abundance of blessings because of that person's ways.

God wants to work through you in whatsoever you do. He wants to be the source of your labour and of your sacrifices.

When it comes to giving, He desires that He gives through you; that the revelation of what He has blessed you with is the foundation from which you give. He wants you to give because of His conviction in your spirit.

The people in our theme scripture sowed much but did not walk in the fullness of the blessing of God because it was all about them-- their ways.

When you give in your power and in your ability, that is your way. When you give in your own understanding because you treat God as some kind of betting house, that is your way.

Giving starts from the heart, from God's leading, direction and conviction. It starts from the revelation of what we have in Him and not what we have in our own hands.

His name be praised!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Giving starts from the heart, from God's leading, direction and conviction. It starts from the revelation of what we have in Him and not what we have in our own hands.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. I know that I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. I understand the grace by which You became poor that I may be rich. It is from this revelation that I give, that I do my part in the kingdom, to the glory of Your name, Amen.
