The National Cathedral is set to celebrate it's week of prayer and thanksgiving amidst the chaos and brouhaha surrounding it's construction.
A picture shared by the journalists Manasseh Azure Awuni, indicates that celebration is set to scheduled between 4th to 10th July 2022. The official launch of the week long activity begins today, Wednesday, 29th June 2022.
According to the document, there will be Chairman's appeal and thank you video Special Offering toward the National Cathedral Project. Mobilization for the GHC100 per month Club on Sunday, 10th July 2022.
The National Cathedral project has become a hot issue of contention following some revelations made. It is said that it's design cost Ghana $22million dollars. Also some Ghanaians criticized why the government has released 25million cedis as seed money to the Project construction amidst financial crisis.
Many people have reacted to the Cathedral thanks giving shared by Mannaseh Azure.
A user wrote;
"Instead of praying for a better economy they are rather pray for a useless project. We need factories to creat jobs, good hospitals and good roads not cathedral. Has God told them he is homeless. Evil leaders with no vision"
Some users also questioned what Manasseh want to achieve by sharing that document.
Some also commented that should their pastors ask them to contribute for the national cathedral, they will walk out of the church.
