I Never Said That Northeners Are Only Fit For Running Mates In The NPP - Hopeson Adorye Reveals

A member of the NPP Communications team and key supporter for Alan Kyeremanten, Hopeson Adoye has served a notice to the general public concerning his recent statement in Kumasi about NPP tradition.

In his recent post on Facebook, Hopeson Adoye made some clarifications by revealing that the media got his statement wrong. He explained and revealed that NPP has had a tradition or a formula over the past few years. The formula is always that the Christians and the Muslims are merged together to rule the country.

"It has come to my attention some misleading headlines attributed to me indicating that, "In our Party tradition, Northerners are fit for running-Mates". This was published by some online news portals and widely circulated by Bawumia Camp aims at destroying Alan Kyerematen and inciting Northerners against me Hopeson Adorye."

"I wish to state categorically that, I never said in plain words that Northerners are fit for running-mates. The video is partly doctored for mischief by Bawumia's Camp" he posted.

He added that all the NPP flag bearers had a running mate from the Muslim Community. This doesn't mean that Northeners are only fit for the position of running mates, he stated.

This comes after Hopeson Adoye made it clear on Saturday that the NPP is built on three foundations namely; Danquah, Busia and Dombo. He added that Danquah represents the the central parts of the country, Busia represents the middle belt which include the Ashanti region and the Bono region. Dombo also represents the Northern parts of the country.

He added that the NPP has always selected their running mates from the North and he believes that Alan Kyeremanten will do same. He never said that the Northerners are only fit for running mates.
