Today happens to be the 44th birthday of Bishop Obinim, and yet there is little to celebrate given the sorrow that has consumed his heart. But in this teary moment, there is some light of sweetness and hope his wife, Florence Obinim is shedding.
Florence Obinim presents a touching message to calm his husband and assure him of God’s unending grace in his life and work. She acknowledged that though the demise of his father is painful, the God he serves is ever-loving to see him through.
She mentioned in a Facebook post that all she got as a birthday is to sing with her powerful voice and wish the husband a blessed birthday and long life.
“We're still mourning your father today (my in-law), but today is still your special day so I'm using my golden and sultry voice as a songstress to wish you a blessed birthday, and I pray to God to give you long life with so many divine powers to do the work of God.”
She took the opportunity to express her gratitude for the love Obinim had shown her throughout their marriage. According to her, Bishop Obinim made a great sacrifice by sponsoring her music which led to the release of her very first album “Osoro ne me fie" which became a hit in 2009.
Due to the grief that has taken hold of Obinim, the church has been a little silent about celebrating his birthday. Hopes of having to celebrate this 44th birthday in style and more especially on a Sunday have been shuttered as a result of the funeral.
Today is a thanksgiving service for the late father, Opanyin Kwadwo Bonsu and the respect Bishop Obinim has for him, he did rather focus on the funeral than rejoice. As he said in his tribute, there is hope they shall meet once again in the afterlife.
Albeit, the chances that Obinim will find a date to celebrate this new age is very high. This would allow him to readjust and prepare for his new life and the void the father has left him.
