The whole world is saddened today by the death of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. He was an Anglican Bishop and a theologian. Aside from his work as a bishop, he was a tireless campaigner for social justice. He was the person who preached in the Thanksgiving service for the life of his great friend Nelson Mandela.
Archbishop Tutu died today 26th December 2021. He was blessed with 90 years to live on earth. It is alleged that he died peacefully and out of natural cause. One thing people remember him for is the Noble Peace Price he won in 1984. He gained that award as a result of being a powerful force of nonviolence in South Africa's anti-apartheid movement.
It is sad for the world to lose such a great man who dedicated his entire life to seeking the welfare of others. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
