The member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reacted to the latest release from the National Cathedral Secretariat. He has quizzed how long Ghanaians must wait for for the Office of the President, Minister for Finance and the Attorney General to comment on the issue.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, on Wednesday 29th June 2022 he wrote;
"At its “better late than never” press conference which ended a while ago, the eminent National Cathedral Board of Trustees have “Pontiusly” directed us where to go.
Shocking how long we must wait for the Office of the President, Minister for Finance and the Attorney General."
He added that the Minority questions in Parliament remain unanswered. "This is going to be a long-drawn-out battle for accountability and by God’s Grace — we are more than ready." He said.
Okudzeto comments comes as a background to the release below.
"The Attorney General, the office of the President, and the Ministry of Finance are I working to provide the answers. And the Secretariat is providing the needed documentation.
We need to remind ourselves that the project is a partnership between the State and Church, and BOTH have been tasked to make it happen.
So we appeal to all of you to allow these procedural issues to be addressed at their level. Social media is not the appropriate forum for addressing these issues." The release from the National " A release from the National Cathedral on June 29th 2022 said.
