Anyone who opposes the building of the National Cathedral is a devil - Archbishop Salifu Amoako

The proposed construction of a National Cathedral has provoked a fierce discussion in Ghana about the relationship between politically related issues and religious elites.

Archbishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, the founder of Alive Chapel International, believes that everyone who opposes the construction of the National Cathedral is indeed a devil and hates good things.

Some Ghanaians believe that money should be spent on development rather than religious construction. Archbishop Salifu Amoako, on the other hand, believes the Cathedral will help in the development of the nation and Christians during special occasions.

He said, ‘’When the national cathedral is completed, people who fought against its construction will be startled to find themselves there one day’’.

He told Fiifi Pratt of Accra's Kingdom Plus 101.9 FM that President Akufo Addo's National Cathedral is a commendable project. The government considers the Ghana National Cathedral to be a project for all Christians in the country. When the National Cathedral is finished, it will be used for a variety of Christian events, including conferences.
