The Meaning Of "Weeping May Endure For A Night"

When hope is lost and faith fades away, you become weak as your strength gradually dies out. When doubt intrudes your trust in the Lord, you become disheartened. Sometimes sorrow steals your joy and you allow your tears to flow like a waterfall. It seems like you're in the fire with Shadrach and friends. You may even imagine lions around you in the den of your life like Daniel.

The battle of life may be behind and before. There may be series of issues hissing like snake all over you that make you distressed. You may be journeying through the wilderness while mountains of problems have encamp around you. You don't even know that which you should do now. You're so confused and distressed that you feel your breathe is about leaving you. Your eyes are heavily filled with oceans of tears that you can't control it from raining down your cheeks. The thorns of life have pricked your heart so much that you feel it's about tearing apart. It seems worrying and weeping are now your occupation.

Sometimes you even think of committing suicide to end your life. You think all hope is gone and you've reached the end line of your life. You have had so many disappointments that you seem not to even trust the Word of God. You even sometimes doubt if there is God. And when your conscience tells you that God indeed exists, you ask, "Why then has He allowed all these to come over me? Why couldn't He prevent this from happening? Why couldn't He deliver, protect and provide for me?". Then you look up the skies and ask, "Why me Lord?".

Now listen, beloved of God. Sit still and rest now. We serve the Alpha and Omega God. When you reach the end of your life, that's exactly where He'll begin with you. Your finishing line is the commencing line of the Author and Finisher of your faith —Christ Jesus. He is your everlasting hope, so when all sources of earthly hope is gone, Christ is still the same yesterday, today and forever. When you lose all to gain Christ Jesus, you'll have all.

The Bible says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). You may weep during your nights of hardships, troubles, problems, tests and trials. You may cry like a baby when you're in your darkest storms of life. But God knows your sorrows; your cries have gone to Him and He will come down to deliver you (Ex. 3:7-9). He has not forgotten about you. He hasn't leave or forsaken you. You're engraved in His palms and He looks at you as the apple of His eyes. As He said, "Let there be light", and there was light, so will He turn your mourning into morning filled with ethereal joy.

Christ Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, That you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy" (John 16:20). See, if Christ says you shall weep, then there's no doubt, but here comes His unfailing promise, "your sorrow shall be turned into joy". He will surely turn your darkness into lights of happiness. He will cause your sorrows to cease as He imparts His peace. Therefore, don't end your life to hell. Just trust, love and obey Him and all shall be well. He says to you, "Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded... and there is hope in your end" (Jer. 31:16-17).

"Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent" (Psalm 30:11-12).
