The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye is trending on social for a very great and notable initiative. All along, there are many churches in Ghana that blacklist the involvement of chiefs and traditional rulers in their activities.
Biblically, some of these churches feels that traditional ruling goes with traditional practices which don't conform to their religion.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye has finally inaugurated the Chieftaincy and Traditional Ministry of the Church of Pentecost. According to the Chairman, chiefs are the people who lives in the society as leaders.
To him, if they are part of the integral activities of Pentecost, they will be able to win more souls for christ. The Chairman and other executives therefore launched the Chieftaincy and Traditional Ministry . They headed it with a prominent Traditional ruler called Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese who is the Paramount Chief of Yeji Traditional Area.
When Reverend Opuni Frimpong who is the former General Secretary of the Christian Council heard this, he couldn't keep calm. He congratulated the chairman of the Church of Pentecost Eric Nyamekye. He encouraged him to do more. To him, bringing Traditional rulers to the house of God is a good initiative.
Kudos to the Church of Pentecost. Glory be to God. Check out a beautiful photo taken after the event
