The Holy Qur'an is an inspiration of Allah given to His prophets to be given to mankind. The Holy Qur'an is a spiritual life manual that teaches muslims the ways of God.
The Qur'an speaks of many prophets and people and how they walked and obeyed Allah.
Hence, below are the three(3) testimonies that the Qur'an says about Jesus.
1. JESUS IS "AL-MASIH" which means Jesus is the MESSIAH.
Read Qur'an 3:45.
The above chapter of the Qur'an gives vivid explanation to whom Jesus is. And it is undeniable that it is only Jesus who has such title(i.e Al- Masih ) in the Qur'an.
"Al- Masih" means "Anointed One" and it is the same as the Messiah in Hebrew.
One thing to notice is that prophets like David (Dawud) and Solomon (Sulaiman) were anointed but they did not obtain the title, AL-MASIH. Also, there are a lot of prophets in the Qur'an but it was only Jesus whom the Qur'an gives such title.
2. Jesus is the "RUHU-MINHU" which means "Spirit from Him"
Read Qur'an 4:171, Qur'an 21:91.
This means that the Qur'an describes Jesus as the Spirit of God (Ruhu-mina-llah). Allah (God) speaks of Jesus as of OUR SPIRIT. Is this SPIRIT divine?
Let's answer this question sincerely. In comparison with other prophets, we notice that Allah(God) describes;
(i) ADAM as Safiyu'llah -- the Chosen of Allah.
(ii)NOAH as Nabiyu'llah-- the Preacher of Allah
(iii)ABRAHAM as Khalilu'llah -- the Friend of Allah
(iv) MOSES as Kalim'llah -- the Converser of Allah
(v) MUHAMMAD as Rasulu'llah -- the Messenger of Allah.
(vi) Jesus as Ruhu'llah -- the Spirit of Allah.
In Islam, Allah(God) cannot be likened to anyone, Qur'an 112:4. He is far above the prophet as it is clearly seen in their titles. But when it comes to Jesus, He is brought very close to the very being of Allah(God)
When we notice this, it is as if Jesus is identified so closely with Himself, Allah is revealing the deity of Jesus.
3. Jesus is "Kalimatuhu" which means "His Word"
Read Qur'an 4:171
As the Holy Bible describes Jesus as the Word of God, the Holy Qur'an also testifies his state of being God's Word.
In the Qur'an, it is written as Kalimatu'llah.
