Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder and Leader of International God’s Way Church (IGWC) has in a live video urged all Ghanaians to rather focus on working hard rather than trying to always focus on how to be fluent in English speaking.
I stopped schooling at Class six (6), so for a person like me, I don’t really care about my English. I rather work hard and that has brought me this far he said.
He asked what people who focus on English speaking have to show for. Even though he isn’t fluent or can’t speak proper English, God keeps on blessing him and now due to his hard work he has a lot to show for
Mostly in Ghana, people tend to laugh at people who are not good at English speaking, even though it isn’t our native language. This happens not only in schools but also on social media platforms.
We all hope these words from the man of God will help many people change that attitude. It’s not good and has dampened the confidence of many Ghanaians.
