What the society and the world preach today is, "make some money," "get rich," "be successful." This has led to the unrighteous mammon(money) possessing people. All they ever think about is money: which has led them into many unrighteous and ungodly acts( lies, discontent, murders, fornications, envy, jealousy, greed, covetousness, etc).
And so-called Christians(the church) who are supposed to adhere to the teachings of the Lord and the apostles, and setting people's affection on things in heaven are also preaching the same vanities; and also fallen into ungodliness: which confirms what scripture says, "For the love of money is the root of all evil"(1 Tim 6:10).
My friends, do not exchange your soul for hell or a peanut, compared to the true riches in heaven because of lack of contentment.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36-37)
1 Tim 6:6
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
