Matters of the heart

John 13:21-27

After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, " Truly truly, i say unto you, one of you will betray me

The disciples looked at one another uncertain of what he spoke.

One of his disciples whom Jesus loved, was reclining at the table at Jesus' side

So Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking

So that disciple, leaning back against Jesus said to him "Lord, who is it?"

Jesus answered, " It is he to whom I shall give this morsel to after i have dipped it. So when Jesus had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly".

Your heart defines you. Your heart sets the course for your life. Never allow satan to come into your heart, he will destroy you. Take a look at what happened to Judas, after he had taken the morsel, he allowed satan to come into him and use him. So many times, we allow satan come to dwell in our hearts, destroying our relationship with our spouse. We tend to cheat on them, lie to them, take advantage of them. Some of the things, we do can never be undone, both the consequences of the act and the act itself. When Judas realized what he had done, it was too late. The bible says he went ahead to the chief priests to give their money back to them but they refused it. You may regret later what you have done to your partner but it will be too late. Your partner may be forgiving just as Jesus is but the bible says a time will come when Jesus will spit you out of his mouth and say He does not know you. The bible says that whatever you do to your fellow man, you do unto Jesus. From now on, everything we do in our relationships, should be as we doing unto Jesus. And we can only if we spend time with God through

1) Prayer

2) Studying the word of God.

Never forget that it is through our hearts that we know our stand in life.

Have a nice day!
