3 Levels of Prayer That Every Christian Must Know

The Christian life is a journey. That is why it's called the WAY. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour is only a first step on the journey. It is the major step.

There are all kinds of prayers according to the Bible. Each of these prayers has rules governing it. Contrary to what most Christians know, prayer is more than communication with God.

There are three levels of prayers. Jesus presented them as ASK, SEEK and KNOCK. ' So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be given to you. Luke 11:9 The following are the levels of prayer.

1. Ask Level ( petition). This is the first level of prayer. You go to God as your Father to present your petitions. Matthew 6:9-13 is about petition. 'Give us this day our daily bread'. Here you must go in simple childlike faith (Luke 11:11-13).

2. Seek level ( intercessory). This is the second level where you go to God on the behalf of others. Jesus gave us a picture of it, as a friend who needs bread for a friend (Luke 11:5-8).

3. Knock level (demanding). This is the third level where you defend your right to your inheritance. The demand is placed with words and declarations. It talks of argument, reasoning, thoughts ( 2 Cor. 10:4). This is where we resolve Spiritual Conflicts. At this level, we go to God as a judge. Jesus gave us a picture ( Luke 18:1-8). The kind of protocol this type of prayer demands can be likened to the protocol of a law court. This is not petition prayer or intercessory prayer. This is making references to the constitution of the Kingdom (Bible) and proving to the devil that he cannot have his way with you.

These are the Levels of Prayer. Remember that Satan is very legalistic and doesn't give up easily. Pray until something happen. Please follow me for more exclusive information. Don't forget to like and comment. Stay blessed, SHALOM.
