Father's Day: Let Us Celebrate These Five Spiritual Fathers Of Ghana

Even though we have had leaders and Presidents who have steered the affairs of the country, there is the need to recognize the role of certain people, I term as the "Spiritual Fathers of Ghana". Their prayers for Ghana and their counsels to the several Presidents Ghana has had, has brought Ghana this far. So in no specific order, we will like to honor these men of God. We also want to use them as a point of contact to recognize the other spiritual fathers of the land.

1. Dag Heward Mills

Dag Heward-Mills (born 14 May 1963) is an African Evangelist pastor, author and conference speaker based in Accra ,Ghana. He is the founder and presiding Bishop of the United Denomination Originating from the Lighthouse Group Of Churches formerly known as the Lighthouse Chapel International and the United Organization of First Love Churches in 190 nations (FL-UO 190). He is also the founder of the Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Centre, located at Mampong in the Eastern Region of Ghana.


Mensa Otabil (born August 31, 1959), is a Ghanaian theologian, motivational speaker and entrepreneur. He is the founder of International Central Gospel Church headquartered in Accra, Ghana. He is also the founder and Chancellor of Central University College, and CEO of Otabil and Associates, an executive and Leadership Growth Consultancy. He currently oversees the International Central Gospel churches, which has a network of local assemblies in Ghana, Europe, the United States, Canada and other parts of Africa. He also serves as the senior pastor of Christ Temple, a ministry of the International Central Gospel Church. His work has centered on issues relevant to Africa, although he has spoken internationally at various conferences and churches.


Nicholas Duncan-Williams (born 12 May 1957) is a Ghanaian Charismatic Pioneer, the Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International (ACI) ministry, headquartered in Accra, Ghana. He is the founder of the Charismatic Movement which started 20 years ago in Ghana and other parts of West Africa. CAFM, one church in many locations, has over 2000 affiliate and 250 branch churches located in North America, Europe, and Africa. He was the first non-American to lead the prayer for the United States President-elect and Vice-President-elect ahead of the inauguration.

4.Reverend Eastwood Anaba

Reverend Eastwood Anaba is the founder, president and CEO of Eastwood Anaba Ministries. Rev Eastwood was led to Christ, by his mentor and father in the Lord, the dynamic Archbishop Duncan Williams (founder of Action Christian Faith Ministries).He is currently 59 years of age.

5.Most Reverend Charles Gabriel Palmer- Buckle

He is currently the Metropolitan Archbishop of the CapeCoast Diocese after succeeding from Most Reverend Matthias Nketsia.As part of his achievement,he is the second Ghanaian to become Archbishop of Accra.He is currently 70 years and will be 71 come 15th June.He is the College Patron of St.Augustines College and Holy Child School.
