Muslim brothers who stay in and around Nyohini in the Northern region following the Nyohini Central Mosque Imam have been thrown into a state of confusion regarding today's Eid as chief warn Imams not to hold the prayers.
The Nyohini Imam on Friday announced to his followers that they would be holding the Eid prayers on Tuesday so the people prepared for today but now new development suggest the chief of the area, Nyab Choggu Naa has warned them not to hold the Eid prayers.
Nyab Choggu Naa stormed the Imam's house yesterday in the afternoon to warn him not to hold the Eid tomorrow. The issue is so serious that the chief could not wait to invite the Imam to his palace to warn him but to drive himself to the Imam's house to relay the information.
According to Nyab Choggu Naa, he would not allow any chief or Imam under him as well as their people to celebrate the Eid tomorrow because he does not follow the celebration of Eid Tuesday, 20th July 2021.
Now, well esteemed imams and those who have intensively studied the Qur'an have gotten themselves tied to follow the calendar of the traditional leader.
