Ramadan Begins on 13th April 2021

Ramadan is the 9th month on the Islamic Calendar. Calculation of the Islamic calendar started the day the Holy prophet of Islam moved from Mecca to Medina. This is known as HIJRA.

The month of Ramadan is characterized by fasting the whole month. Muslim communities during this month restrain themselves from eating, drinking, sexual intercourse and its related activities, bad speeches and other habits that are not acceptable when they are fasting.

These activities makes the fasting of a believer invalid and will pay it back if he/she happens to involve into any act mentioned above.

Fasting only starts when the holy month or the crescent is sighted after the month of SHABAN is over. And the fasting ends when the crescent of SHAWWAL is also sighted.

It is in this holy month that the HOLY QURAN was descended. Ramadan is believed to be month of forgiveness, acceptance and repentance. It is believed that, everything that you pray for in the month of Ramadan will be answered provided you purify yourself and have good intentions.

In the month of Ramadan, the gates of HEAVEN are widely open and that of HELL FIRE is closed. This shows that, that is the month you need to decide your fate and continue with the good deeds even after RAMADAN.

After Ramadan ends, Muslim UMMAH gather to pray to optional raka'ts to give thanks to ALLAH to mark the end of RAMADAN. This is known as EID-UL-FITR.

I wish all Muslims a happy RAMADAN. May all the GOODNESS in the HOLY month falls directly on them. May all their wishes and prayers be granted and answered.
