In fact the last few days has not been very easy for the founder and General Overseer of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Bishop Dag Heward Mills. He has been seriously trolled on social media after a video recording of the man of God lambasting traditional rulers popped up.
In the video, he particularly mentioned the Ashanti King, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, describing chieftancy as a useless institution. He said in the video that chieftancy is not only about having sex and celebrating anniversaries alone. He compared the reign of the Ashanti monarch to that of the biblical King Solomon, saying that the Ashanti King should not be given the title of King Solomon as he is affectionately called by people.
The man of God has however issued an apology letter to the King after Ghanaians began lambasting him for his utterances. But it emerged that the apology letter from the Bishop is said to be containing some untruths, as the Bishop stated that the said insulting message was preached almost twenty years ago. indeed, Ghanaians have not taken things easy on the Bishop at all. A youth group in the Ashanti region have even threatened to close down the Bishop's churches in Kumasi.
Read some interesting comments from Ghanaians on the matter.
