These psalms are powerful words of praises to God for his protection and mercy. We can always show our gratitude to him by reciting these psalms as a form of prayer. All what we can render to the lord is to offer our sacrifice of thanksgiving for the abundant blessings God has bestowed upon our lives. The goodness of the lord cannot be paid for with our material possessions. God delights in our praises and worship.
As children of God, we may have enjoyed divine favour, spiritual protection, health and vitality etc from God. All these blessings are giving to us for free of charge. Our responsibility as God's people is to render unqualified praises to show our gratitude to God who is our great protector and fortress.
The lord has also offered us hope of salvation by giving us His only begotten son, Jesus Christ as a sacrificial lamb for our sins. Romans 5:8 "For while we were yet sinners Christ died for us". What we can give in exchange for this manifold blessings is our praise, worship and thanksgiving offering.
Let us recite the following Psalms as a form of praises and worship to God who made us.
(1) Psalm 116:12-18. This psalm glorifies God for the blessings and all the numerable blessings he has showered on us. We must honour him with this powerful bible verse.
 "What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?"
 "I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD".
 "I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people".
 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints".
 "O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds".
" I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD".
 "I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people".
 "In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD".
When you begin to count the blessings of the lord in your life one by one, then remember to pay your vows to the lord for fulfilling your heart desires and answering your prayers. The lord is merciful and gracious. You can sing the first two verses to praise and worship the heavenly father.
(2) Psalm 145:1-21. This powerful psalm requires us to bless the lord with our lips every day. We are to praise the name of the lord for his unsearchable greatness.
 "(David's Psalm of praise.) I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever".
 "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever".
 "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable".
"One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts".
 "I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works".
"And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness".
 "They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness".
 "The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy".
 "The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works".
"All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee".
"They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power".
"To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom".
"Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations".
"The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down".
 "The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season".
 "Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing"..
"The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works".
 "The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth".
 "He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them".
"The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy".
 "My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever".
When you wake up early in the morning, praise the name of the living God before you set out for your daily schedule. The lord our God is indeed loving and compassionate. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
(3) Psalm 146:1-3.This powerful psalm enjoins us to praise the lord all the days of our lives on earth .We are required to use the life we have today to praise and worship the living God.
 "Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul".
"While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being".
"Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help".
Praises and worship of our God is justified by his eternal power and everlasting glory.
(4) Psalm 150:1-7.Let every thing with life praises and honours the name of the lord praise and worship the father in the beauty of holiness.
 "Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power".
 "Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness".
"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp".
 "Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs".
 "Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals".
"Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD".
Sing songs of praises to God with all your heart. Praise the lord with musical instruments and dancing. Dance to glorify the lord.
(5) Psalm 98:1-6.This psalm reveals the mighty power of the lord God .The invincible authority of his right arm to deliver his children from the enemy.
 "(A Psalm.) O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory".
"The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen".
"He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God".
"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise".
"Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm".
"With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King".
God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob is the king of kings and lord of lords. His mighty power extends to all generations. We are to sing songs of praises and honour to glorify his mighty name.
(6) Psalm 24:1-7 .This psalm reveals God as the single owner and the designer of this universe .His power founded everything on this planet .He deserves our worship and praises .We are the work of his hands.
 "(A Psalm of David.) The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein".
"For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods".
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully".
"He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation".
"This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah".
"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in".
"Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle".
"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in".
"Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah".
(7) Psalm 100:1-5 .This powerful psalm sings songs of praises unto the lord for his greatness and mercy.We are required to enter his presence with songs of praises and thanksgiving.
 "(A Psalm of praise.) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands".
"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing".
"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture".
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name".
"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations"
The mercy of the lord endures for all people. There is no partiality with God. He is a faithful God.
(8) Psalm 103:1-8 .We will bless the lord with all our mind, body and soul for the good things he has done in our lives .We are to praise him for saving our soul from the pit of destruction.
 "(A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name".
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits".
 "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases".
"Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
"Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
"The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
"He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel".
"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy".
Our God is full of power and remains merciful throughout all generations. He is our father's God and we will continue to serve him with songs of praises and worship.
(9) Psalm 105:1-5 .Give glory to the name of the lord. The praises of the lord must continually be in our mouth .We should remember all the wonderful things he has created.
O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.
Let us continue to sing songs of praises and worship to our father in heaven. He deserves our worship, praises and thanksgiving.
(10) Psalm 111:1-10.This psalm enjoins us to praise the lord and worship him with all our heart and mind .God is glorious in holines and fearful in praises doing wonders.
Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Who will not worship the lord with songs of praises? Everybody will. We are blessed as Gods children to worship and praise the king of kings in his holy sanctuary.
(11) Psalm 117:1-2 We are to sing praises and worship to the lord for his mercy and compassion.
"O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people".
"For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD".
