Ghanaian kings are one of the most respected and cherished people in the country when it comes to traditional governance among others. In view of this, the followers (subjects) of such kings would never let anyone go scot-free when the name of the king is brought in disrepute.
Recently, there were some allegations levelled against Bishop Dag Heward-Mills where he is heard in an audio that has gone viral, criticizing the Asantehene, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Sei Tutu II. This did not go down well with some groups of people and thus caused them descended on the man of God. They posted several of their views on the various social media handles expressing their displeasure and anger on what they had heard in the audio.
In response to the audio that has gone viral, the Founder and leader of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has rendered his apology to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II for the unfortunate incident. Bishop Dag wrote in the letter that the message that was being circulated today were all messages he had preached at a conference nearly 20 years ago. He states that message which he preached decades ago was being taken out of context and recirculated by people who had previously threatened to close down branches of the church in Kumasi, the letter reveals.
In the letter, the Man of God commended the king for the various achievements he has chalked in his reign mentioning quite a number of projects completed by the Asantehene. Bishop Dag states that such accomplishments of the king are evident for all to see.
