The New Patriotic Party in its own is trying to ensure an appreciable rate of development for the country as government has started new projects across the country with some being completed, some underway and others yet to be implemented.
These projects range from the educational sector, that is the free SHS programmer, health sector, Agenda 111, energy sector and the likes. Among all of the above, there is one project which has received lot of criticisms from all angles for which it is the National Cathedral. Ghanaians see it to be good for a nation to come close to God but considering the state of the nation’s economy as at now, it is not a priority.
Reporting from Gh One Tv via their official twitter page is a statement made by the New Patriotic Party’s Kofi Ameyaw, a member of the party’s communications team on the above channel’s popular morning show. He landed an attack on the National Democratic Congress that, they hate anything that will bring glory to Ghana and building the National Cathedral is one of them. “I don’t think the President’s trip to France and other countries to secure bilateral relationships to improve our own country’s economy is useless”- he added amidst recommendation of the efforts of the president.
This statement of his had sparked series of reactions online among both parties trying to defend themselves in relation with the above. Find below some of the reactions I gathered:
