The Value of Dirt

The Value of Dirt

Before creating Adam, there was a wide range of materials available for God to choose to form man.

Already available was all the precious and valuable minerals like gold and diamond

God could have created man out of any of the valuable materials but carefully He chose dust over gold or diamond.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

What is the Value of Dust?

Dust has no value and yet God chose a material that has no value over valuable material.

After creating man out of a No valuable dust of the ground, He breath into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.

Thinking about this, David was curious to ask.

"What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour." Psalm 8:4-5

Yes indeed, what is man? What is the value of this Dirt that God is so interested in?

Out of a valueless material, God created a valuable man.

If God had created man out of gold or diamond, the value of Man would have been in the material he was created with. God created man out of a less valuable material and put his valuable Spirit in man and man became valuable.

In Jesus's ministry here on earth, he could have choose His disciples from the already Learned and Educated Pharisees or the Scribes  yet he carefully selected the low class uneducated men to be His disciples.

He chose the less valuable people, gave them His Spirit and they became men of HIGH VALUE.

No wonder He picked a sinner like you and I, we that are undeserving of His grace, he chose us to be part of His Precious Family.

1 Corinthians 1:27

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

God doesn't work with the already polished materials, He pick the weak and make them valuable.

Our value is not dependent on what we have or what we can do, we are just but Dirt, we will ONLY become valuable when we receive His Precious Spirit.

He is ever ready to give His Holy Spirit to all who ask Him.

May we prepare ourselves for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us.

May the good Lord help us All.
