Words cannot express the great works done by prophet T.B. Joshua and Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi. These two Pastors rose to prominence in their youthful age.
Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi was the founder and the first general overseers of the Redeemed Church of God.
He was born on 1909 in Ondo State, Nigeria and was recognized by his parents as a unique child.
Even though he grew up in an environment where the worshipping of gods is dominant, he was aware that there exists a greater power.
Due to discomfort, he joined several denominations to clear his doubts. He later realized that there are more for him to discover. He joined more prayer groups and later formed his own church in 1952.
Multitudes joined his church as he prays for the sick and helps those in need. The news of his church spread worldwide and more miracles were seen at each meeting day.The average number of those who attend the service is about 500,000.
Similar to prophet T.B. Joshua, Reverend Josiah was still serving as a Pastor when he died. Reverend Josiah died in 1980 at the age of 71.
