Mammoth Of Church Leaders From All Around Ghana Storm Parliament To Support Anti-LGBTQ

Mammoth of religious leaders from both Islam and Christianity today stormed Parliament to support the ANTI-LGBTQ bill.

This morning, the member of parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency who together with seven other MPs championing the passage of the bill revealed that he was pleasantly surprised by a call from the General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost.

He called to inform him that a number of Church Leaders were going to be in Parliament to present memos in support of the Bill we have laid before the House.

True to his word, they were led by the Leadership of the Church of Pentecost, The Methodist Church Ghana, The Apostolic Church Ghana, The Christian Council of Ghana, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches amongst other Clergymen and women to present about 15 memos with over 15,000 signatories. Yes, 15,000+ signatories!

Earlier this week, the Catholic Bishops Conference, the Assemblies of God Ghana, The Ashaiman Muslim Community and the Islamic Council of Ghana had all sent in memos backing the Bill. He added that he can only look forward to the stakeholders engagements and the subsequent debates in Parliament as over 100 memos from across the world have come in.

We have a duty to ourselves to do that which is right, true and lawful. May we discharge ourselves diligently.
