The Vice president of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, announced not long ago on his Facebook page that he together with the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and other distinguished dignitaries have Commissioned an Ultra Modern National Moque for the moslem community.
The Commissioning which was done by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, is a multi - purpose Mosque complex that was funded by the Turkish government.
The Vice president indicated that this huge edifice built by the Turkish government will further cement the diplomatic ties between Ghana and Turkey.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia with excitement specified that it was a beautiful sight and a delight to have a "Christian President" Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Commission a National Mosque Complex accompanied with leaders from the Christian community.
It signify how special Ghana is; a peaceful, religiously tolerant country, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia remarked as he concluded.
Inside this magnificent ultra modern national mosque complex are other facilities such as a Pharmacy, Library for both Masters and Undergraduate students, SHS School with Boarding facility, an office and residence for the chief Imam and a clinic facility.
Not long after this post as usual, a lot of comments started pouring in with mixed feelings and thoughts.
Key among these comments as I suspected it to pop up was the question about the National Cathedral President Nana Addo promised to build for the Christian fraternity.
Many people also expressed their disappointment that, had it not been the effort of the Turkish government the President and his Vice couldn't have built such a memorable Facility.
