In Ghana, there is always a controversy under discussion every week in the media space. Unlike the usual political back and forth that always makes the news, the story is completely different this week.
As you are well aware, the new controversy revolves around the "Nation Prophet" is in hot waters as he has been arrested together with other junior pastors in a swoop by the Ghana Police Service at his Church premises.
Prophet Owusu Bempah was seen in a viral video at the frontage of Agradaa's house threatening to beat her up if she dared step out of her house. Some of his junior pastors were also seen wielding a gun a threatening to beat up Agradaa who has allegedly disrespected Prophet Owusu Bempah.
Discussing the matter on UTV's "Adekye Nsroma" show today, September 13, 2021, Bernard Mornah heavily criticized Prophet Owusu Bempah and referred to him as a "rascal". He said the demeanor and utterances of the Prophet makes it look as though, he only has the title but does not actually qualify to be revered.
Prior to making his submission on the matter, Agya Kwabena, host of the show asked him what he he makes of the actions of such a "revered" man of God.
In response, Bernard Mornah reiterated; " I think that you are part of the problems of Ghana because you say Owusu Bempah is revered. For what and by who? He is not revered by anybody. When we talk about reverence is its real sense, you don't look for rascals and describe them as revered".
He condemned the actions of Prophet Owusu Bempah and commended the Police for the action they have taken.
Responding to the Bernard Mornah, Agya Kwabena indicated that, he used "revered" because Prophet Owusu Bempah is highly "revered" by his congregation but not in reference to the entirety of Ghanaians.
