Over the years humans have attempted to develop machines that can perform basic or complicated tasks for people with little to no human involvement. These devices, known as robots, are often created and then programmed to perform a single or multiple tasks that are either unsafe for humans to perform or because of where the work is placed, such as in space or deep oceans, where humans will find it extremely difficult to do their work.
In Ghana, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, also known as Africa's Star, has created many robots that have the appearance and behaviors of humans and can perform tasks in industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, health care, military, and many others.
Now let's take a look at some of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka's robots.
1. Kantanka irrigation robot
The agriculture industry has been actively working to use various types of robotic technology to help increase productivity and to able to reduce costs, and because of this, the Kantanka irrigation robot, which is programmed to sit on a bicycle and connected to an irrigation can, is used to spray or water plants in a farm and is beneficial to farmers because it increases their agricultural production.
2. Kantanka medical robots
These robots have the appearance and some characteristic of humans. They are used in the medical fields as they can assist in emergency situations.
3. Security robot
Kantanka designed this robot to protect and guard restricted areas that require a valid identification card to enter. If you show this robot your qualified identification, it will let you in, but if you don't, it will warn you and refuse to let you in.
4. Industrial pick and pack robots
This Kantanka robot is used to minimise risk and increase work in a manufacturing company's assembly line, such as picking and packaging pieces.
5. The 3 in 1 robot.
This Kantanka robot is a single robot capable of performing three different tasks. It has the ability to sweep the street, display products and services, and even fire small rockets.
6. Human sensor robot
This Kantanka robot is also designed to look like a person, and it has been programmed to perform some simple tasks in people's daily lives.
